The benefits of being a member in the German-Canadian Hunting and Fishing Club are multifaceted - for the socially oriented we offer numerous social events during the year the biggest being our Oktoberfest celebration every year. For the more sports minded we offer our pond for fishing, a rifle as well as an archery shooting range, a horseshoe league and during the winter we have a group who shoots air rifles indoors. The fishing pond makes for a perfect skating or hockey rink in winter where members can gather with friends and family for a skating party or a friendly game of outdoor hockey or ice stock.

Hunters are invited to join in rabbit hunts and the archery group is very interested in teaching more youth or adults the art of archery. In the summer they are shooting outside and during the winter season they are inside in the enclosed patio. (Our club is the place where the annual archery contest ‘Bogenschützenfest’ for K-W Oktoberfest is held).

Members who like to fish can participate in our annual club fishing contest. Registering your catch might even bring you an award.
